Saltwater Flyfishing
And
Bass Fishing
Guided game fishing in the stunning locations
of Devon and
Cornwall
with
KERNOW GAME FISHING
Many thanks for your enquiry about
Chris Ogborne Flyfishing and Kernow Game Fishing.
Our business philosophy is and always has been based on personal service of the
highest quality. Only the very best is good enough.
Apart from the basic cost of renting our
North Cornwall
cottage we have no price list, no fixed pricing scales and no pre-set
conditions for your booking. Every element is customised to individual needs.
The daily charge listed below gives an outline only and
is intended purely as a guideline.
Fishing
The pristine environment of Devon and
Cornwall
is one of the last places in
Britain
where the committed angler can enjoy true wilderness fishing. We offer sport of
the very highest calibre for the truly dedicated fisher.

You will have the option of fishing the wild and rugged north coast of
Cornwall
, through to the intimate and softer south
Devon
coastline. You will stalk Bass in
the surf on Atlantic beaches, seek
them at dusk in the salt marshes, or catch them from the rocks in sheltered
bays.
The river options are too many and varied to list holding salmon, sea trout and
wild brown trout. Although there are
many options our trips are usually focused on the beautiful River Camel, which
is arguably one of the prettiest and most productive freestone river systems in
Britain
. On one day you may fish above the wood line amongst the granite outcrops and
gorse bushes of the moors, whilst on another you will be secluded in an
intimate, tree-shrouded valley with a leaf canopy overhead.
We make no apology for stating that our services are not for novices or
beginners. Only established fishers, those who seek specimen, wild fish in
immaculate surroundings will be able to fully appreciate what is on offer.
Very simply, if you need help with your casting then please look
elsewhere – we are here to teach you to fish, not to cast!
Your Host
Chris Ogborne
needs little or no introduction. Gaining a record number of caps, he represented
and captained his country on the international flyfishing stage for over twenty
years. He has been English national flyfishing champion (twice), European
champion, and was part of the hugely successful gold-medal winning
England
teams for three decades.
Chris is an established author and journalist and a long-serving angling
Consultant to Hardy & Greys, probably
the best known tackle company in the World.
He has pioneered his own unique style of saltwater flyfishing for Bass, although
with his local knowledge you are likely to catch up to four or five different
sea fish species in any one day – all on the fly!
We also employ the services of top class local guides, many of whom are fully
fledged international anglers.

through the intricacies and show you his favourite spots, sharing two
generations of local knowledge.
